Kleyn analyzes how Reformed and Arminian theologies produce fundamentally different approaches to missionary work, arguing that the Reformed covenantal framework contrasts sharply with Arminianism's individualistic focus on personal conversion decisions. The article examines the objects of mission work as the first of three areas where these doctrinal differences manifest, grounding the discussion in the theological distinctions established at the Synod of Dort.

There is much that separates the Reformed faith from Arminianism doctrinally.
