The preaching of the gospel is an important and glori­ous work, a task of incomparable greatness. And this of necessity, as the Gospel is the good and joyful message of God unto His people -- a message that turns on His promise -- so that to preach the Word is to officially ap­pear, as one commissioned by the most high God, before this people with the very tiding of its Savior.
