Dead Orthodoxy
I have a group of questions from a reader that I herewith answer in the order in which I received them. The first question reads: “Is there such a thing as dead orthodoxy?” Answer: First the term “orthodoxy”. The word is from the Greek and means, “right opinion or doctrine.” I take it then, that my correspondent uses the word as the designation of the truth of the Holy Scriptures as expressed in the Christian creeds binding in our communion of churches.
