Dear Mr. Editor: In my final reply to M. M. I shall be very brief. The discussion in regard to the well-meaning offer is becoming fruitless. I shall not attempt to defend nor criticize the writers quoted by me in my original paper, as the reading was merely given to show the concep­tions these men held with regard to this point.
