This article provides a Reformed exegetical analysis of Revelation 12:1-2, identifying the woman as a symbolic figure representing the heavenly church rather than Mary, as Roman Catholic theology claims. The author uses careful hermeneutical analysis to expose the misinterpretation of this passage in support of Mariolatry and demonstrates how proper attention to biblical symbolism and context refutes Roman Catholic doctrine.
