Creation or Evolution?
Rev. Gise J. Van Baren defends the doctrine of six-day literal creation against evolutionary theory and theistic evolution, arguing that both secular evolution and Christian accommodation to evolutionary timescales represent a dangerous departure from Scripture's authority. Van Baren insists that accepting long-age evolutionary processes—even with God included—fundamentally compromises biblical truth and cannot be dismissed as a matter of indifference to Christian faith.
Evolution is considered by well-nigh everyone as an accepted fact. It is part of science text-books. It is a presupposition which finds its way into history books.
