Can We Pray for World Peace?

“Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace good will towards men.” Praying for World Peace is one of the more popular phrases in this Christmas season.  It sounds so wonderful to have World Peace…no wars…no fighting…but is this proper for a Christian to pray for?
