Gritters examines whether Reformed Protestants might find themselves drawn to Rome, not as a matter of desire but as a potential judgment from God upon unfaithful churches. The article warns that spiritual decline and compromise in doctrine can lead God to permit entire congregations or denominations to drift toward Roman Catholicism, using Israel's Babylonian captivity as a biblical parallel. Rather than focusing on evangelical converts to Rome, Gritters calls Reformed believers to vigilance and faithfulness, lest they too fall under God's disciplinary hand.
