This letter critiques Rev. McGeown's article on abortion for lacking sufficient grace and pastoral compassion toward women who have had abortions, arguing that the church should extend mercy and offer a pathway to repentance rather than harsh judgment. This letter is in response to Rev. Martyn McGeown's article "Abortion: the Culture of Death" in the January 15, 2015 issue of the Standard Bearer. While reading the article, I had to lay it down and stop reading it several times because it was so disheartening.
