This article examines Nehemiah's brief, silent prayer in Nehemiah 2:4 as an example of "ejaculatory prayer"—spontaneous, unspoken petitions offered in everyday circumstances. The author explains the characteristics of this prayer practice and encourages believers to similarly rely on brief, fervent prayers throughout their daily activities as a means of persevering communion with God.
Nehemiah’s Ejaculatory Prayer in the Palace There are various types of prayer, including public prayer, private prayer and fervent prayer (James 5:16-17).
