The Robber by Bertram Brooks published by Duell, Sloan & Pierce, Inc. The Robber is a tale of the time of the Herods. The story deals primarily with Barabbas who we read of in Scripture as being the one who was released at the time of Christ’s crucifixion. Scripture does not reveal to us any more than that he was a robber and a murderer. However in the book Barabbas is not pic­tured in that light.
