Schlissel Suspended On April 2, 1992 the Rev. Steve Schlissel, pastor of Messiah's Congregation Christian Reformed Church (CRC) in Brooklyn, New York, was suspended from the office of the ministry of the Word and Sacraments by Classis Hudson of the CRC.
