One is naturally tempted, when he reads in the Acta of the Christian Reformed Synod of 1924, that the brethren H. Danhof and H. Hoeksema used some strong expressions, that could hardly endure the light of Scripture and of the Confessions and especially of the Conclusions of Utrecht, to investigate anew what exactly these expressions were.
