Evangelism and the Antithesis

Since evangelism is the special topic of this issue, we are going to spend some time with the term and concept of evangelism. In Ephesians 4:11 we read, “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers.” An evangelist was a man who preached the gospel, the good news of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
