Election—Its Well-Spring

The eternal purpose of God's counsel, as we saw in the foregoing article, was realized in one of its most major steps in the divine incarnation. The independent, self-sufficient God is also sovereign and absolute in His purpose. It is not in any way dependent upon the creature.
