March 1 Read Luke 1:26-32, L.D. 11, Q&A 29 We concentrate our attention on the first three words of the second article of the Apostles’ Creed, “and in Jesus.” We are making a confession that we believe in Jesus. Because each name of our Savior is of great importance, the catechism treats them separately. God Himself through the angel Gabriel said to Mary, “Thou shalt call his name Jesus.” The name itself is rich in meaning: “Jehovah–Salvation.” What a wonderful name! What an unspeakable gift!...
