Don Doezema responds to Dr. Kennedy's critique regarding whether Old Testament prophets, including Simeon, foresaw Christ's death and resurrection. Through careful exegesis of Luke 2 and 1 Peter 1:11, Doezema argues that the mystery of Christ's incarnation and death remained hidden from Old Testament prophets, despite their Spirit-given testimony to His sufferings and glory. This piece exemplifies Reformed hermeneutical principles applied to contentious questions about prophetic knowledge and Christological revelation.

For several reasons I'm glad for the letter from Dr. Kennedy printed above. I appreciate, first of all, the "query" itself, as it demonstrates interest in and careful attention to subject matter that has come to be dear to my heart.
