This article examines the biblical and Reformed basis for the ordination ceremony of elders, drawing on Scripture (particularly Acts 14:23), the Church Order, and Reformed tradition to establish what elements must be present in a public ordination service. Kuiper provides practical guidance on how ordination ceremonies should be conducted, including prayer, stipulations, interrogations, admonitions, and the laying on of hands.
