A New Editor
Beginning with its first issue in October of 1924 through the September 15, 1988 issue The Standard Bearer has been edited by men bearing the name "Hoeksema." The first editor, the late Rev. Herman Hoeksema, served from 1924 until 1964 when he was succeeded by his son, Prof. Homer C. Hoeksema. These men, by God's grace, gave able leadership to our paper and wrote literally hundreds of pages, always faithfully bearing the standard of the Reformed faith.
