The Second Beast

In Revelation 13:11-18 we read of a second beast which arises out of the earth. A first beast (Rev. 13:1-10) came forth from the restless sea. He represented the development of the antichristian world power, and the antichrist who controls this. That first beast comes from the unstable waters -- representing the restless nations of the world -- and establishes a measure of stability and order among men.
