Smit evaluates the modern missionary trend toward ecumenism, which advocates for denominational cooperation and the minimization of doctrinal differences in order to maximize missionary effectiveness. The author argues against this trend, contending that faithful missions must preach sound doctrine and cannot compromise truth by embracing false teachings, regardless of ecumenical pressures.
