Timothy must teach certain men in Ephesus not to teach a "different" doctrine. Other foundation can no man lay than that which was put down by Paul in the Church. It is the foundation of the apostles and prophets of which Jesus Christ is the chief corner-stone. Eph. 2:20. That is the position of all Paul's apology for the faith once delivered to the saints.
