Our Psalter: 100 Years of Praise (3): The Value of Singing the Psalms
This article defends the practice of psalm-singing in corporate worship against contemporary objections and demonstrates its spiritual value for the church. Overway argues that since God has commanded His church to sing the Psalms in Scripture, believers should embrace this practice and understand the multifaceted benefits it provides, rather than allowing other songs to replace the Psalter as has occurred in most modern churches.
Singing the Psalms as we have them in our Psalter is of immeasurable value to the child of God.
