*Gerrit Vos (1894-1968) was a minister in the Protestant Reformed Churches and a long-time contributor to the Standard Bearer. He wrote this meditation for the May 15, 1963 issue of the Standard Bearer. For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him: therefore also I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the Lord.
