The Lord’s Respect

God's respect is His favor. The original Hebrew word for respect in my text means literally: to look upon with favor. So the thought is rather clear. God liked the one son and his offering, but He did not like Cain and his offering at all. He did not want to look on him or it. And Cain knew it.
