Antinomians? Without a doubt (2)
Prof. Ronald Cammenga of the Protestant Reformed Theological Seminary refutes the antinomian error promoted by the Reformed Protestant Churches, specifically their teaching that God forgives sin prior to and apart from repentance. Drawing on biblical exegesis (particularly Psalm 32) and historical precedent from the seventeenth-century antinomian controversy, Cammenga demonstrates that this doctrine contradicts Reformed theology and the consistent witness of Scripture regarding the necessity of repentance in the ordo salutis.
