Report from the United Kingdom
This journal article examines the contemporary situation of Christianity in the United Kingdom, documenting the decline of church attendance and the growing cultural hostility toward Christian moral convictions, particularly from LGBTQ+ activism and progressive ideology. The author argues that while systematic persecution is absent, Christians increasingly face social and professional pressures when they refuse to conform to secular activist demands, with varying degrees of intensity across different regions of the UK.
There is no systematic persecution of Christians in the United Kingdom.1 Christians are not arrested for being Christians or for going to church.
