Preservation and the Work of the Holy Spirit

There are many passages which teach the doctrine of the preservation of saints, or, as it is sometimes called, eternal security. But we believe in the preservation and perseverance of saints not only on the basis of those passages, but also on the basis of the testimony of all Scripture that salvation is from beginning to end the work of God.
