In Hollum, At Ameland
Perhaps you never heard of the island of Ameland before. It is one of the Dutch “Waddeneilanden” (the Frisian Islands), 23 kilometers long an about 4 kilometers wide (5625 hectares), mostly sand but with a strip of clay close to the coastline.
