This article exhorts Reformed church members to conduct disagreements with charity and respect, particularly when dealing with ministers, by following biblical principles such as Matthew 18's private approach before public accusations. The author emphasizes the importance of defending neighbors' reputations and treating church officers with appropriate honor, calling believers to meekness and humility in ecclesiastical disputes.
I submit this letter reflecting on the discussions taking place in the "Letters to the Editor" section of the SB. I do not take writing this lightly, but do so out of love for Christ and His church.
