Scripture uses many names to describe God’s people. Some of them are nouns, such as elect, saints, God’s people, the righteous, saints, the beloved. Collectively they are called children, church, brethren, a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, Zion, and Jerusalem.
