November 8—Wisdom Cries Read Proverbs 8:1–21 Throughout Proverbs, wisdom is personified, and wisdom speaks.  Wisdom is an attribute of God, his “knowledge of all things and his wonderful ability to do all things for his own glory” (Doctrine According to Godliness).  The Hebrew word for wisdom is feminine: that’s why wisdom is personified as a woman throughout Proverbs.  Ultimately wisdom personified is Jesus Christ himself.
