Lesser-Known Reformers: Ulrich Zwingli (1484–1531)
The Protestant Reformation began in two different places, independently of each other, about the same time. Martin Luther nailed his ninety-five theses to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany, on October 31, 1517. Four hundred miles away, in German-speaking Switzerland, Ulrich Zwingli also was becoming convinced that Scripture is our only authority for doctrine and worship.
