Rev. Angus Stewart examines the biblical doctrine of speaking in tongues, arguing that the tongues described in Acts 2 and 1 Corinthians are actual human languages rather than ecstatic utterances. Through careful exegetical analysis of the Greek terminology (glossa and dialektos) and the historical context of Pentecost, Stewart defends the Reformed understanding of biblical tongues against modern Charismatic and Pentecostal claims.
